Am I overstocked?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tank will eventually be stocked with either 1 male and 1 female motoro or 1 male and 2 female motoros. It all depends on how I feel about the space and filter capacity. There will also be several dither type fish 1 or more peacock bass, 1 eartheater to help turn over the sand. I am still debating on if I should add my 3 red hook silver dollars or my 3 tinfoil barbs they are all GIANT and I don't want to add that much bio to the system. May eventually add an african aro as well if I can ever find one.

This tank will also be running a drip system which should give me some room to play around with stock

I would get 1 male motoro, 1 female motoro, 2 Dats, Sailfin Pleco, and either bala sharks or silver dollars.
LOL the single geo seems a lil evil.

Your door frame would be fine it is only 27" tall you just need to flip it on its side to go through the doors :) Easier said than done with a 500 plus pound tank lol

The single geo has been in the 150 gallon with the motoro and the other fish for almost a year he is doing great. Just the occasional territorial dispute with the larger of the 2 p-bass.

Plecos are a big no-no with rays but I do miss having one. I have tried Dats in the past... just not my thing.

I put the 3 red-hooks in yesterday I will update with some pictures soon. The hampala barb was in there for like 4 days and I was still getting 0 ammonia reading, now that I add the red hooks it is starting to cycle :)

Added 2 double bright led lights and my 3 jumbo red hooks, getting closer to stocked :)
