Am I overstocked?

Hey guys, I was wondering if my current setup is too much or will be once all the fish are full grown.
This is what I currently have in my 55g tank:

5in Red Severum
3in Blue Acara
2.5in Giant Danio x5
3in Pictus cats x3
2in Odessa Barbs x2

The filters I am using are two Penguin 330. I also do 20% water changes ever 4 to 5 days.

I think it sounds fine, but I would still up the filtration to maybe 2 Emperor 400s. What's your water parameter right now?

awesome, thanks for your responses. I haven't be able to test my water yet, I should be receiving a API test kit by monday. As for the filter upgrade I was thinking of doing this do my filters soon: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/power_filter_tricks_iv.php

Yeah sounds fine you could probably get away with water changes every 10-14 days those are hearty fish

Even if a fish is hearty/tough it doesn't mean its ok for it to exist in a toxic environment for a longer period IMHO

Your water parameters will let you know how often you need to do water changes.

I would be doing 50% water changes once a week.

Water changes should be taken lightly.

Nah, they typically only get to around 8" or so
