Am I overstocked?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks very much for the replies guys!
It's good to know I'm not overstocked but I'm guessing by the mixed opinions that a second angelfish would be a bad idea?

A second one may be pushing it. But it is also relative to your filter maintenance and water change schedule. If you tend to miss water changes from time to time you may enjoy the wiggle room of not having the added bio load to the tank. Another thing to consider is the possibility of the angels mating. If they pair off it could make it real uncomfortable for the rest of the fish.

+1

When my angels are spawning, no-one goes in that side of the tank, at all.

If you have to ask.......

Yeah your not overstocked. I have a 30 gallon long with 6 2"-3" filament barbs that I'm growing out for my 240 and 2 2"-3" ebjd and 1 eb arca. I do weekly water changes and feed them once every other day. I try not to over feed them. But I do plan on moving the filament barbs to my 55 gallon cause the eat all the food. But I'm afraid that my rtm will kill my filament barbs cause he already killed my Robertsoni and 2 of my bandit Cichlids. He's a mean little sucker. He's 3" right now awaiting to be transferred to my 240. But your cool with your stock right now. Just keep up on the water changes and don't over feed.
