Am i overstocked

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My 120 gallon has:

1- 12 inch Oscar
1-8 inch GT
1-8 inch JD
1-5 inch Texas
1-3 inch Con
1-3 inch Jag (most likely to be moved when larger, but we'll see)
1-5 inch Raphael Cat

No problems with one 75% wc a week. Keeps my nitrates below 20 ppm. I would say no to your question about being overstocked. Here is my tank.

From my limited experiences with jags... there is no "likely" about it haha

cool tank though

You've just gotta watch for aggression.. I only have a 10" Oscar, 7" Polleni and 4 Bichirs in my 125.. It looks so empty.. lol

Ya, I am kind of counting on it. I am trying it with the jag as a juvy and seeing if he can coexist as a he grows.

Sure do. It is about month old and a few fish changes. The nic and fire mouth are in another tank and the Bifa was added.
Silvers are still in there forgot to list them although thinking about removing them. Eating all my Anubias
Also added second XP 4 Since this photo.

Some people are against overstocking, I have kept aquariums for over 20 yrs with cichlids. I kept Africans for the better part of it.
Always overstocked them. As long as quality water is maintained the fish will remain healthy and aggro is dispersed between many fish versus a single individual.
just so nobody does something regretful he by no means put a jag and dovii in a 75g. that iz not overstocking that iz cramming:) tight tank shadow luv the fish:headbang2

Shadow, your tank is awesome!

hehe, thought i was overstocked!

Thanks Ewurm and Renteria for the compliments. Much appreciated.
