Am I to young to get a gender on?

Looks male because females ususlly only have spits on their face... But its tannish color is like a female... Look at this picture of my male (non breeding colors)... And the pic is OLD. He is alot bigger now.

See the spots are the sane as mine. I've noticed to, when I feed the tank, some spots on him are starting to turn red.
