Well went to gaze out my patio door, look over at the tank and what do I see? That's right the original pair has a new batch of fry!
Sorry about the glare, bad time of the day to get pics
Been thinking a lot lately. I mentioned a couple times how I have two very different sized fry swimming about my tank. I think I figured it out. Those couple months I tried to work again my original pair had a second batch of fry, and I just didn't notice. And this new batch is now the males third batch.
Also I noticed today, the second pair now actually have a batch of eggs. Had to use the light to see them, they are on the underside of the rock.
So I had to move a rock to create a barrier. The pair with fry doing the move the fry around to graze thing were coming upon the 2nd pair and fights were had. Two pairs of upset parents are not a pretty sight.
You can see the pair with the fry on the left side....
Well I think I have learned my lesson, never look at the side of your tank, ok got it. Because I did earlier in the week and found a new batch of fry.... this time a new batch of eggs...
Also earlier I was looking in on the right side of the tank, thinking I spotted at least two more pairs doing the breeding dance.
