I would def. have some zeolite / zeocarb mix somewhere in my media. Gotta be careful using zeo because you can starve your bio and cause a recycle. But in the right amounts it can be usefull with a heavy ammonia load like that tank has. It takes some of the load off of your biological.

Wow there is at least one mono in there who although isnt the length of the tems, must have over 2x the girth, i would be scared to be in the room with that going on haha.

I think those tems are wild. The colors, gill plates and speckles suggest so. There is a unique two bars and pinima in it too. What a collection!

This was Jed's (the trust) at the peak of his cichla run!! Filtration on this tank is just dope. Search his threads and he has a full thread with pictures and ifo on it. Just crazy!!!
