AMAZING COLOURS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
IMO you werent just questioning, arguing n discussing .... you push your own idea too much and you cant take their own ideas
if you cant accept 'the way they' enjoy then enjoy it with your own way (sorry my bad english)

HAHAHAH
i just had this samew thing on arofanatics.com
its a predominantly asian website.
i enjoy the website but unfortunately, 99% of the UPDATES and photos on there ofr red aros are modified through photoshop or similar. Or they are under a bright red disco frigging light !!!

that aro is photo shopped, the contrast has been modified. Although i have seen spcimens while harvesting on youtube, red red arownas, but sunlight does the trick.

that aro looks like its enhanced.

anwyays, yeah, i got banned in that asian forum because i could not stop arguing!! my bad:D hilarious but.... shows you, some people don tlike to be questions.
the forum was very much governed by vendors and suppliers too...
they are the most guilty of fake redness through what they call 'NAN LIGHT' its a chinese brand that is extremely red, so red that it actually colours the silicon and bubbles red when its lighting up the water!

anyways, i questioned it, got banned:D
check them out though, arofanatics.com

you will see red arowanas so red.... so so so red, clearly enhanced

sorry to TS for being OOT ...
that pic is clearly enhanced but there are many 'real red' fish out there

No, i wasnt pushing my views. clearly the start of my thread was very genuine, neutral in fact to start a healthy discussion.
then people started to get aggressive and question aggressively, those who agreed stopped posting becuase they predicted such actions.
they even warned me man, told me to stop.... i didnt because why sh ould i, its an open forum... MY MISTAKE lol clearly it wasnt

anwyays, appreciat eyour views, but this isnt arofanatics, this is mfk, where science trumps old wives tales. you dont need to defend mfk here.
this topic isnt about my thread, that was an aside that i found funny and i mentioned.

Here is an example, of VERY red light, used to enhance colour of fish.
http://www.arofanatics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=493407

look at the video on this thread.
even the rays look red dude

Clearly, i am not going to lobby to the govt of that persons nation to stop the use of red light.
I am saying, its clearly, CLEARLY artificial and misleading.
that cannot be refuted.
nice fish!
no doubt
Nice tank
no doubt (well, arguable)
but the lighting is what is in question here.

feedback from others would be great -
this is the lighting that they are talking about, so red, the bubbles look like bubblegum!

so, when looking at aro pics, be careful, always have a point of reference in the tank or else, dont believe the colours.
if its all black background and there is nothing else, dont be fooled. there is a reason, because pink does not reflect form black.

also, note the silver arowanas in the tank....

check this out
this is a brooder, so genetics on this is passed on to once you see in stores, of course there are many farms.

but around 2 mins, check out the colour.
it is very red, but not candy red... though they exist, very rare.
this is considered to be a spectacular specimen.
any aro keeper would and should be greatful to get colour like this.

Here, man, so red, i mean so red, it looks like a photo developing room.
This thread here and video is so unbelievably red, it will make me look like im an alien.
THis fish, if you take out the red light, is probably quite dull in colour, silvery with hints of gree. Dont get me wrong, i love aros, and this fish will be beautiful no matter what. but... not red like it is now. those parrots, are probably light orange.

There is no way I believe that fish pictured was not photo shopped...

yeah that big vfsr is quite real, you look at the other fish around it, minimal pinkening (new word i invented:D )

they do exist, but rarely, only very veyr old fish really get extremely red or lots of sunlight

This is what got me in trouble

i doubted this .... apparently the fella may have a lot of pull...
similar to a politician in the aro world:D

anyways, i questioned the realness of these pics

http://www.arofanatics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=492827

you can see, clearly that the silicon is red, also the bubbles.

but not only that.
its clearly tweaked.
well....
i sent the pic to a friend of mine into photography, he said very subtle but reckons its adjusted, the red contrast stuff...
i dont nkow much bout it lol
