Amazing Find!

Pics are not easy with these guys. They are still quite small and hide alot. I have snapped some shots of them while acclimating in the bag but they came up too out of focus (fish look more like candiru than fossilis 
)
Here is an amazing behavior I had a chance to observe already: Like I said, they hide all the time. In fact I am yet to see them eat. The hiding spot of choice appears to be the bracket that holds the heater (they just chill behnd it). Yesterday, while doing regular maintenance, I sucked approximately 50% of water out of their tank and to my horror they did not even move -- both remained hanging on the heater bracket as the water level dropped about 8" bellow them!
For sure I thought they were dead! 
So while wiping tears I went to grab a fishnet but as soon as I probed them with it both readily jumped down into the water! 
These fish must trully feel comfortable out of the water! I have never seen any other air breathing species exchibit this kind of behavior. Heck, even african clawed frogs do not allow their bodies to come out of water! I say mighty impressive for fish

Based on the little research I did yesterday, they are practically the same as walking catfsih (able to leav out of water for ours and "walk" on land). Plus, their sting can be FATAL TO HUMANS)

Before I went on my downward spiral in life these were my favs next to my lima shovelnose. Haven't seen them for sale in quite awhile. I also did some researching and found they were currently unavailable because of a "name" game big brother is playing. Hopefully this means they are done depriving me of my babies
