My moms aneminie ( spelling ). Just split into 2 seperate ones. It was about 1 hour long process and it stretched itself out, than just split. was so amazing to see. :headbang2

How often will this happen?

It depends on how often it gets fed and what caused the split. If it was just because it was large enough it will depend on feeding frequency temp etc. If it was because of stress it's harder to say. Congratulations by the way sounds like you're on the way to a bed of anemonies.
keep us posted

hmm, My mom said my dad did nock over his live rock that hes on, and than it split 1 day later. not sure if that was the problem. We feed him a whole freeze dried krill ( 1 " ). about once a week, he was maybe the size of a tennis ball. now they are the size of a golf ball.

I dont get it either, She dosn't do anything to the tank exsept maybe 1 waterchange a month. adds calcium with that water change. than leaves it alone ( exsept for the lights she has a led light, blue light, and a normal light ).

Most anemones split when their environment feels threatened, like any changes in: SG, temp, lighting, water parameters, etc. Survival tells it that it has more chance of surviving as 2 animals, than 1 & it splits.

Hey Twitter, we think along the same lines a lot! :D

well, aslong as its safe, and not going to die. all is well.

Its color is finnaly comming back, and the other one is on the move to find a nice little spot. they are both eating also :)

Thanks for the info guys and gals.

They both ate after one day? That's sort of a surprise usually it takes a week or so for their mouths to close. You might also consider giving them whole small silversides to add a little more variety to their diet. I'm very impress but, it does sound like a stress split so you'll need to keep your eye on them . This is one of the few cases though where you won't have to worry if they touch each other! Oh, and you may want to make sure that the clowns don't bother them too much.
