From what i have read temp should be 78-82 degrees. That is the same as my fish.

I keep my tuberosus together with convict and firemouth cichlids and have kept them together with small jack dempseys. Has never been a problem if the turts are fed regularly. As long as the fish are too big for their mouth, the turtles won't care.
But do keep in mind, that EVERY turtle has to have a dry area where it can bask, rest and lay eggs if it's a female!
