Amazon Biotope Aquarium

Yeah, looking it over the ray would have to go. Got carried away.

i agree with some of the suggestions... ditch the oscar! a severum would be a nice "sub" for a,lg fish for this type of tank.. also, the aro in there really limits your other choices.... could get some altum angels instead.... throw in some dwarf cichlids, a panaque and a rapheal cat and some hatchets (if yer tank is covered of course!) and go from there!

Guppy- i think the pike topminnow and the ray are illegal in cali.
Seighten- wouldnt the aro eat the hatchets?

How big do altum angels get?

California has alot of restrictions :p

Possibly, depends on cover for the hatchets and how out going the aro is. If the aro is kept well fed and the hatchets can hide, then it shouldn't be an issue.

Replace the pike topminnows with Hujetas (Ctenolucius hujeta) or Isaline's Cachorros (Acestrorhynchus isalinae) if they are legal, Narrow Hatchet Fish and Pretty Chalceinus both reach over 12"s but are hard to find.

A community of geophagus'. I love my geo.

yes, i think the aro would eat the hatchets... i was suggesting based on "instead" of the aro type thing.... think ifn ya go with the aro,,, sticking to all med. to lg. fish would be best

Like the sounds of the Geophagus idea... :)

How about an arowana... (silver or black?). A single kept Peacock bass speciman, a flounder? (or stingray, i mean!), and a S. American catfish species of some sort?!!... (a pim cat. 'tigrinus'? TSN?', doradid cat?, pleco. sp.? etc.) GL with whatever you decide to do!!
