I don't use Carbon in my Cichla tanks though

do your tanks get funky between water changes ? i noticed you say that before and wondered why, i use it but sparingly just to keep smell down between w/c

I do so many w/c's a week and so many tanks *what smell* never enough time to smell them really. If I do then I do a w/c. lol

Yeah my Pbass tanks don't have carbon on them either. I've never had an odor issue, but I am around the tank and am a little OCD when it comes to cleaning the tank. I pretty much spot clean daily and do pretty frequent large water changes.

lol im do 50% weekly i notice the smells after feeding time i think my pbass farted er something making room for more food little pigs they are
