If you put a nice piece of wood in it will constantly release tannins, or you can set up a bucket of water that you constantly put tannins in to fill the tank with. I would still do a filter, or have something to circulate the water. Not much can live in stagnant water, and you can’t get a lot of fish in the tank without filtration.
