Its a long story but ill try to keep it short.

The sword is planted in a 30gallon it was doing great had it for over a year with no problems. I never had runners for some reason. I went on a trip for 2 months came back and it was ok, I mean it was good for no maintenance for that long of a time period. I uprooted it for a full water change/tank cleaning. After that it decided to die (to put it lightly). now I dont really know how to get it back to its prestige. It was at least 18" tall and 12+" wide. now its barely 5" tall and 4" wide. What can i do??? also I want to add more plants (only have the amazon and an anubis) any suggestions?? THX

How are the water parameters? Do you fertilize the water? Lights?

I give the plant the jungle plant tabs about once a month the water is fine i just did my meekly water change. I don't really know about the lights, it's just the florescent bulb that came with the hood... It was flourishing before, maybe it was when I uprooted it? I was thinking about adding
Micro sword, Ludwiga pervensis, christmas moss, jungle val, java fern, red melon sword, red wendtii and more drift wood, would this be overkill in a 30 gallon?? also would c02 help?? thx again

CO2 would probably help, but if you have fish in thier you would have to watch it nd not give too much. Also provide aeration through a bubble aerator in the tank at night if their are fish and you choose to give CO2. I can't think of what you did wrong. The roots shouldn't be the cause.

thanks, I'll just try and see if it takes off again, who knows maybe this was good for the plant Lol, I'll try to keep the water extra clean with the plant tabs
