Amazon sword problems

Fixture should be strong enough, where are the swords positioned in related to the light? LED doesn't spread like fluorescent and the fix may be as simple as moving the plant under the light. My swords are thriving with satellite+ fixtures and if my memory is correct yours is quite a bit stronger.

Not enough lighting, especially for a tall tank. That's why algae grew when you put flourish in it, it provided nutrients to the algae.

Depends, he didn't specify what type of Flourish he used, if it was Flourish Excel (and it probably was) then that should've killed the algae. Seachem has all but officially said that Excel is an effective Algaecide.

What color does the plant turn before it dies/when it's dying? Color or leaves as well as what TYPE of leaf growth is a good indicator of what is deficient in the tank. If they're yellowing you're low on iron, etc.

Did what ask what the substrate was? Honestly, if its just swords, I wouldn't concern myself too much with liquid water column ferts but instead buy root tabs of some sort, as swords are heavy root feeders (their roots are like 3x the mass of their leafs....)

He said he he even tried that "flourish" stuff and THEN his tank broke out with algae and he after that he even tried root tabs! so I assumed he was speaking of liquid fertz!

Also, just dosing one feet means nothing.

I agree 1 feet is not enough for a sword ;)

Op there are plenty of good stickies in the planted section, read up a bit to have a better understanding of the big picture.
