Will a 9" well fed common plecostomus and a 1.5" clown plecostomus eat Amazon Sword leaves?

And is this enough light for them?

Tank is 75 gallons.

And could the swords, along with some anubias, survive on just root tabs instead of liquid ferts?

Thanks

I've got six swords that grow like weeds with no ferts at all. I'd say they'd be good as far as that goes, but I'm not sure if those plecs would eat them or not.

plecos won't eat the leaves, clowns might nibble on them

enough for a low-light tank, so Amazon swords would do okay . . . would be better for anubias and java ferns

liquid ferts are generally over-utilized; for amazon swords, you're better off with a good substrate and/or root tabs

Thanks guys :)

And Sab_Fan, thanks for all the answers, and another MFKer i was talking to earlier has 2 huge healthy amazon swords with only 1wpg and root tabs.

yeah, I've done amazons enough times in low-light tanks to know it can work just fine :)

swords do well in low lights. many plants dont need all that expensive lighting....the only difference is there growth rate is slowed.
