Amazon Swords

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How long have you had them? If recent could be them changing from emerged growth to submerged. Would need more information to make a better guess. (Lighting/any supplementation/substrate/...)

After you change your gravel get some root tabs that should help:)

At two weeks, it is not likely to be a nutrient deficiency. Are the leaves that are turning yellow, wide, and at the end of a long narrow stem, or long and narrow with nearly no stem?

Not enough light for swords, they need lots of light. Unless there in a 10g or something that isnt enough light. If you are putting in fluvlite plant gravel from seachem you wont need to put root tabs in for 6 mounths unless your tank is stocked heavily with plants. that gravel mix has plenty of nutrients for a good 6 months even in a well stocked tank.

Amazon swords do not need that much light. They are very good for low light setups.

mine are doing this but its because the plecos find them tasty....
If your sword is turning yellow, it isn't your pleco. Most plecos will not chew on live plants. They will chew on the algae covering the leaves.
