amazon tiger cat ever seen one?

If it is a hyrbrid, I just saw a rtc tiger shovelnose hybrid at my lfs for $14.99! I hope you didn't get ripped off, just an observation.

looks like some sort of tigrinus relative

It's a normal Brachyplatystoma juruense, picture from planet catfish. Just looks quite tiger like to me.

heres what happened,about 6-7 years ago i went into a lfs
and the were unpacking there shipment i seen this catfish i had to have
i paid a couple hundred for it,,his price list was about 180$. he said it would get huge and were only imported a handful at a time. Well i had it a few years and it grew to about 20ish inches.I suffred from a power outage and he died.Just a few details about him,he was jet black orange tiger stripes,and whiskers that literaly would stick out of the 75g he was in.
Lets fastforward to yesterday i seen a pic. of the marbled cat?,its very similiar but mine had a much diffrent dorsal fin,it resembled that of a redtail and its tail was dark red,Stunning.By chance do you guys think i may have had a hybrid or is there another cat resembleing my description. Thanks in advance

At 20 inches he had to stick his whiskers out of the tank, he could not turn around in a 75 gallon tank.

might be a flash tiger.

That was going to be my first guess. Also called flash jurunese or flash zebra.
