Find out EXACTLY how big they are. They can be TINY and very hard to feed.

Ill give the dealer a call today.

On a side note, I think Im getting a snake for my 20 long this weekend :) Either a Ball python or a big cali king in my lps.

go get a ball..skip the kingsnake no comparison there...a python is a python...it is a monster in midget size, but a monster, a tame, docile monster...

How entertaining are they? I am a boid freak but I dont want a snake that wont even move when Im handling it

EDIT: Also, are BP's very noise sensitive? I play drums in the same room I have the tank set up in. For my crested gecko, its fine if I put a couple towels over the cage to dull the noise

Balls can be fairly explorative when out of their cage. It really depends on the individual and its mood. My adult male will roam around for a bit if I let him, but he'll eventually curl up somewhere and remain still, whether its my lap, or my bookcase (as per that photo I posted a ways back).

In comparison, corns and kings would rarely settle down....thats my opinion, anyway.

All snakes are noise-sensitive to some extent. As far as drums go, I suppose it would depend on exactly how far away they are from the snake cage. If they're like, right next to him, then I'm certain that would be pretty stressful on a regular basis. If they're on the other side of the room, the towel thing would be okay, I think.

Other side of the room.

It would be possible for me to relocate the snake to another room while I practice, which is usually like 30 mins-1 hour every day or two. Its really not that often I get too into it. Also, I can get these pads that muffle the drums.

Just got back from my lfs... and I think for the 20ln im gonna get a kingsnake. I love the look of the pythons but the king was way more fun to hold and very active.

Im gonna get some sort of boid soon though... Maybe a carpet python. I need to clear some room. What would ben minimum cage for a carpet?

I had mine in a 75 then moved him to a display case when he hit 7' it was 6' long by 2' deep by3' tall. He was spoiled.
