Crenicichla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Caquetaia myersi, Caquetaia spectabile, Caquetaia kraussi, Hoplarchus psittacus, Uaru amp., Uaru ferdz. , and H. temporalis just to name a few!! 
im still looking up all the fish you mentioned but so far they look good. im thinking maybe a few lima cats?
the fish will be in a 500 gallon (8'x4'x27") pond.
i definately love pike cichlids but i never realised that they were from the amazon. can anyone give me any pics of them from the top?

From the top? Like, above water shot? Hmmm...i've never really taken/seen pictures of too many pikes from above. They are hardcore from the Amazon man...Crenicichla are almost 100% SA...haha. www.mostlycichlids.com...thats a great site with tons of pictures. It will probably work better if you just Google 'Mostly Cichlids'....
Limas would work well. Severums would be very hard to see in a top view.
Rays would be ok to try as well. I'd look into some of the bright colored cichlids.... midas, red terrors and things like that will show up in a pond better.
