I keep my mata mata wholly aquatic and I am able to keep fish with him. So long as they are not too small, you will not have a problem because if these turtles cant swallow its food whole, it will not bother to try.

Love the mata mata. Id love to see more of him. How big is he?

be sure to read the whole thread, it is a sore subject to some people as far as how deep the water should be, keeping them fully aquatic, and keeping them with fish... these threads are good to get both sides of the arguments but Mine has never had a problem.

they had a small baby amazon giant river turtle at my lfs would it get along with my 5" plus fish?
An giant amazon river turtle? What Podocnemis expansa? To my best knowlege thouse are endangered, they are big $ and you need a permit to keep them if you can at all, and they get HUGE!

nice matamata snakeguy. i think ive seen those pics on another thread. makes me want another.

as for op, i dont think youll find what youre looking for. a mata would be your best-bet if your fish are bigger than the matas whole face.
