America bombs Great Barrier Reef

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If it was the Chinese gov't i could believe it a lot more easily ;)

I would agree that the title was very misleading, I was shocked at first but now reading into what was going on its really not that bad and it's def an overreacted article.

U.S. Navy will now attempt to recover the bombs from Australia's waters.

Its not a big deal. People are reading the title of the article and freaking out. You need to read it before you get mad for no reason. They were non explosive dummy bombs for a flight exercise and they weren't dropped on any rock or coral. They were technically dropped in the great barrier reefs park waters boundary far away from the actual reef. They are inert and can be recovered if need be. If nothing else stuff will grow on it and add to the reef.

Exactly. And the explanation is valid in my opinion too as to why they dropped them where they did. But you gotta hand it to ignorant people yet again.

I think you forgot the negative sign in front of the 16 trillion.

I think you need to take an economics class to understand what a debt means in an economy. US is still the riches country in the world and has the highest GNP as well. Can't be poor and in debt and still hold those titles. Learn about investments and surplus in the economy too. Yet another ignorant comment by an ignorant person TWICE in this thread. Gotta hand it to ya buddy.

It's funny the guy from California is giving economics advice. If the people of California were so good with economics they won't need the rest of the country to bail them out. My first post was nothing more then a except from a news article and never gave my input into the situation. Let's look at my second ignorant post.

I think you forgot the negative sign in front of the 16 trillion.

Am I wrong? What is ignorant about my statement? You seem like the ignorant one not wanting to believe the fact that we are in debt and try and deflect the conversation in a diffrent conversation taking about gross national product. If you know so much about economics you should realize that there are many aspects to measuring an economy, such as gross domestic product and inflation. All of this is still irrelevant in relation to my comment about the United States being in 16 trillion dollars, which you stated was ignorant. I am not sure if you are ignorant, illiterate or a little of both.

What does debt mean? What will you call the money we owe other countries and the intrest we pay in it?
