American Bully and mislabeled pit bulls

Do you have any pics of them stacked? Might be the camera angle, but it makes the first baby look a bit easty-westy. You a member at pitbull-chat? They have an Ambully section.

Here is another pic, he's not EW, but looks like it in the other pic because of how he was standing. He is not perfect conformation wise, but with selective breeding we hope to keep certain traits and improve others. My parents raised APBT since i was 3 so i have always loved the breed, we have a small number of Bully's and have never done more than 2 breedings a year since our main goal is to improve our own dogs for the show ring. I will have to check out the pitbull-chat, as of right now i normally stay on American Bully World and Bully international. Thanks for the info ....

I am sure your dog is a peach and all, but that's farrrr from an APBT. No offense, to each their own, but that dog makes me want to barf. Keep the breed TRUE, and STOP trying to "fix" them. APBT are supposed to weigh 25-45 lbs.

Have you checked the pound for all those pups you've been supplying them with? Stop breeding!!!! You are just filling the pounds with more unwanted dogs.

My APBT is the one with the mange. For some time we fed the typical Pedigree crap before we got him though... once we got him, we knew we needed to change foods because he has a vomiting issue. He gets a fever a lot, and he's not always in the best of health...

We do a strictly RAW diet, mostly consisting of chicken, and that has helped tremendously, but his immune deficiency is the reason the mange doesn't go away. He's had the mange for over a year now on and off.. Note though, we do RAW 6 days, and don't feed on the seventh. It gives their digestive system time to relax. Other than RAW, our rescue dogs get Diamond Naturals. All the dogs get raw cabbage, carrots, green breans... etc..

They never get table scraps EVER. Some of the rescue dogs that needs to put on weight will get some scraps, but they are mostly put on a ground beef and brown rice diet for a week or 2 until things improve.

As far as for the mange, we give daily shots of Ivermectin, and he gets a bath that has a series of treatments...

phase 1: Flea and Tick Shampoo
Phase 2. Tea Tree and Aloe Shampoo
Phase 3. Medicated Dandruff Shampoo
Phase 4. Peroxide/Borax Dip (then this air dries on the dog)
Then after all that, he gets sprayed with a tea tree dilution for fleas, and if he's got his dry skin or sores, he gets a rub down with A&D ointment, and some benadryl.

We also place Multi Vitamins, Vitamin B complex, Vitamin C, and Cephalexin into his food.

I own a 75lbs years and a half "APBT" according to his ukc pedigree. I very well know that he is a big stockier than what a pit should be and that is due to teh fact that his bloodline (Razors Edge) is know to have begun by mixing a pitt and a mastiff etc etc. i call him what the pedigree says but he is more of a bully than an actualy pitt. At the end of the day tho, every breed is mixed to some degree and unless u go into dna testing and such , you never know what a breeder may have done somewhere along the line to get a desired outcome. Pedigre paperwork is very easy to BS or manipulate. Either way thanks most pitts today are along bully lines. Vry few true to their original build pitts can be found

Yes there are alot of " Pit Bulls" in shelters, i can GARANTEE NONE of our pups or dogs have ever been in shelters or ever will be. I am not responsible for all of the BYB who don't care about where their dogs go , or just breed to make money, We do not Breed our dogs to supply others, we keep our pups and don't just Dole out our dogs to anyone. You shouldn't judge people you don't even know......

Mshill, I do think any mutt who isn't breedworthy (which is 99% of dogs) need to be spayed or neutered, if you'd read through, you'd see that I have posted this more than once, I made it myself, every dog on there is one I've in some way known, and many are from PA:

I am in rescue myself. However, you need to give a basic education first before you start shoving SPAY NOW down their throats.


There is nothing wrong with buying from a reputable breeder, not everyone wants just a pet, and you cannot show or really work with a dog who doesn't have a pedigree. I plan on getting into show one day, which means I'm going to get a dog from a breeder friend.

If someone is just simply NOT going to rescue a dog, why not point them in the direction of GOOd, ethical breeders instead of BYB trash? Reputable breeders are NOT causing pet overpopulation, because they don't give their dogs to just anyone, if you are not going to show or work the dog they have a spay/neuter contract, and they take the dogs back if you can't keep them. It's the BYBs who are churning out hundreds of dogs to the first person who wants them for a low price that are the problem, or stupid pet owners who think "My kids need to see the miracle of life!" Or "It's good for her to have a litter". Idiots.

Scriving, I checked those dogs out, that is an Amstaff kennel. Not American Bully or APBT. I checked their peds.. Nice dogs regardless.
