How can I not see her but I wonder if she just wants to eat or the producers are just screwing with her. Some kind of food theme in alot of scenes. I wonder if you try to kill her the curse would kill u too?

I dont think shes acting at all. They probably get it all from her dressing room

I love this show!!! Although I've fallen off this season I will catch up soon!! Also I think season was the best for me it was very interesting and it actually made you think while watching the show. One of the only shows on TV that does this and it's enjoyable while being creepy and scary at the same time!!

Any one that liked this might want to check out Penny Dreadful on Showtime ... it's like this show crossed with League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

I was looking forward to seeing Penny Dreadful after watching the previews a few weeks ago but once the series started and I saw the first episode I couldn't get into it.Maybe I'll try it again at some point.

Yeah, first couple of episodes of a new show are usually rough. The 3rd show was quite a bit of back story, 2nd and 3rd have had quite a few surprises already. A little rough around the edges so far, but the fact it's got some good actors in it helps.

I might check it out on on demand this weekend. Most shows that I regularly watch had me hooked from the first episode...kind if like a "come out swinging"type of thing lol.Not sure if you've seen it but Gang Related had that effect on me.Its a cop show with an interesting twist to it.Too bad it's not on FX.

Ah, see the only shows that snagged me first episode usually blew everything they had on the first episode (a la Camelot) and went all downhill from there. My favorite shows are the ones that were okay at first, but warmed up around episode 6-8. GoT I think was the only show that hooked me from day 1. But I'll even tough out shows that aren't doing well imo through that 6-8 range to get better, sometimes they turn around. Most don't, but the ones that do are long term gems usually.

That said, I love the classic Gothic horror books from Victorian era like Bram Stoker's Dracula and Mary Shelley so Penny Dreadful is kind of a natural fit for me.

Not really my reading genre but I do like Victorian/Goth horror programming which is partly why I was eager to see Dreadful.
