Alot of people here in MN just throw them in trash cans when they catch them, very sad. All started because some rumor that they kill game fish, though every fish kills game fish. I have caught many big ones, 7+ lbs. And used to have one, here is a video of him

People here kill them also which is a shame

A LFS gets fry once a year, probably around 30-50 of them at 2.5"

Louie, he would nip at something if they flared at him or nipped at him, otherwise he left them alone. I think with most fish, if you dont feed fish feeders and keep them really well fed with the same tank mates as when they are young, they wont touch them. Of course im sure that changes once they hit 10" or so.

Thanks I actually didnt think they would eat anything unless it was alive and or moving . Didnt know they would take pellets,etc.

Yeah, they definitely take non live or moving things, even when I fish for them. I often fed mine market shrimp along with a variety of pellets and worms.
