tested water after aqua safe "i forgot this part before i tested the tap, brain fart"
anyways lol
does prime remove ammonia better then aquasafe?
after aquasafe there was still a lil ammonia.
does prime do the same thing as aquasafe but work better?prime cheaper?
I suggest you use Prime, it doesn't remove ammonia, just renders it less harmfull. At that level a 25% water change will only give you 0.25 in the tank, and a working filter should kill that off pretty quick.
The ammonia will still register on the water test, it will just be converted to less harmfull ammonium.
hmmmm
i tested and most of my tanks have ammonia, maybe some is cus i use aquasafe.
so i guess i will check out this prime
it does the same as aquasafe but more?
so replacing aquasafe with prime is better?
sorry for the questions it just ive always used aquasafe.lol
I've always used aqua safe, and haven't had a problem yet. I test the PH and ammonia levels of my tap water periodically, and sometimes the ammonia levels are awful.
I wouldnt use any ammonia locking chemicals, just trust your bio-filter to safely convert ammonia to nitrate. If your ammonia levels are REALLY high (over 5.0) than waiting or several small water changes instead of a single periodic large water change is advised.
