You can do 95% water changes without affecting the BB.

Bigger water changes are more effective (meaning, a 50% every 2 weeks is better than a 25% every week)
This is very true. The trick to not killing off your beneficial bacteria is to pre dechlorinate the water then pump it in that way you dont kill all the bacteria on your decor/tank.

I think if you used a python right from the tap for a 95% fill you would be asking for some BB die off as well as fish stress possibly death.

I do roughly a 30% water change with hose water every 2 weeks on my 210g anything more stresses my fish out because its too cold. I cannot find the attachment for my sink for tap water otherwise I would be doing about 10-15% more of a water change if I could get 70+ degree water.

yeah...however it seems a bit extreme to do a 95% change right out the bat. I would do probably do another 70% and then do probably a 20-30% daily if you want

You need to hit up lowes or home depot.

Yeah. I just built an awesome 20 ft. "python" with high-quality hose and fittings for $20. I could have done it for less, but I figured I'd be using it for a long time, so I got the nylon-woven green hose instead of the easy-to-fatigue clear type. The only other thing I needed was a fitting to screw into my faucet. The hose just pops on. Then I put an aerator on the tank end because it was streaming in clouds of bubbles. All better.
