depends on size of ray to i guess? bigger they are the harder they are? also one the topic of prime, do u guys think it is fine to use with rays or do u prefer a different ager???

Prime is ok with any type of fish. My biggest concern would be why you're showing .25 ppm in the first place? is the tank cycled?

I'm thinking it's at least under-cycled. What are your nitrite and nitrate readings?

ooorrrrr..... could it be the prime water conditioner giving false positive readings?

What does your tap read? What is your tank size, stock, filtration, water change schedule, and feeding schedule? What does your tank read before AND after a water change?

OP, is this a double post, or are you asking the same question, about a different tank, as you did here?

You didn't mention a ray in your stock on the last thread, so do you have another tank that is showing .25? Also, do I understand that you've switched from Stresss Coat to Prime and you're still showing .25, even from straight treated tap water?

If so, and your nitrItes continue to be at a constant zero after all this time, and both tanks are showing this same result, then you are probably getting a false positive.

Is your water treated with chloramine or chlorine?
