Amount of food for Arowana

if money is a concern why not sell 2 and just keep 1

ha ha ha ha :) ya you need a monster wallet.. i have 4 silvers.. i guess a 1kg pack of hikari tropical food sticks is around 45$.. pretty expensive here too.. my largest silver.. she is around 24" now.. eats only pellets, feeders and crickets.. eats close to 150 sticks a day.. but my other 3 smaller silvers eat tilapia and prawn.. so its a lil easier for me.. have a look at an older post of mine.. i have even fed them egg whites.. though the water will go for a toss.. try starting them on alternate food like tilapia and prawns along with pellets.. :)
 
Alternate their diet. Pellets, market prawns(shelled or deshelled, up to you), krill, tilapia fillets, crickets, earthworms(if you can get your hands on any), mealworms, superworms, occasional feeders(quarantined of course).
 
Silver arowana are gluttons and will eat far more then what they need to. Do not frrd them until thet will not accept anymore food. Just use a little common sense while feeding. You may also want to start feeding them market shrimp(without heads or tail spikes) to help fill them up without breaking the bank.
 
Thanks a bunch guys! I would post a picture up but I don't have my camera anymore as a result of a fishing accident... haha dam. Well i took your guys' advice, tell me if this is a good enough diet for all 3 arowanas (combined):
30 pellets in the morning.
30 pellets in the evening.
subtract the 30 evening pellets with 20 crickets once a week.

hey joseph.. give it a shot for a week and see for yourself.. look at their bellies and you'll know..

Alright thanks man! and they wont eat themselves to death will they? i know my lil tiger barbs in the other tank eat nonstop.
 
i do one main feding a day(3 white bait or some blood worm and 2 white bait or something along those lines) and he'll get the odd pellet 1/2 a day aswel . seems to be doing the job. hes around the 11" and is not a fussy eater and active
