Amphilophs tank

The 9 fry we picked up are from a breeding pair purchased from Raaps. Half of the ones we picked are currently barred and the others are a black and yellow molted pattern and one a solid light yellow. It will be interesting watch them go through their color change. Glad to see crowding working for them. I only wanted to buy 4, seller wanted me to buy 6, ended up with 9. Best thing is we ended up bartering in the end so the cash never left my pocket.

Awesome! I love watching Amphs peel. It's like a surprise to see what your going to get.
 
sbgbuddy sbgbuddy hows the amph only tank working out for you? how bad is your aggression?
when i had a male only amph tank the aggression blew up to the point i had to put
everyone in a tank by itself, thinking about giving it another go with a male only amph tank
with the few new amphs i have now... lol

It's going great! The only trouble I've had is when I have had accidentally had females in the tank.

ya at point i had females in the tank and i thought that was the issue so i took all the
females out but had no luck at the time regardless lol hope fully this time around it'll
go better or maybe ill just a mix and mash community and see how that turns out...lol

btw you take a FTS : ] lol

I used Silver dollars and non amps at first to help keep the tank crowded. But as the fish grew I removed the SDs and non amphs. And sorry friend I don't understand what FTS is.

full tank shot lol eh i dont like sd's gonna try and mix my aros, gars and amphs together lol
this should be interesting if dont work out ill just move back into their separate tanks lol
