Wow, this guy looks tuff!!!! He’s a beast. I love his orange mask around his eyes. Like a super villain!! Looks to mean to be a super hero….lol
How old is he and how many inches long?
He looks bulky enough to be 2-3 inches thick!

Thanks!.... hes got the build and look of a much larger fish but hes only about 8.5 to 9".... My Gold Barred Midas is far larger at 13 and 1/2 inches..... If you' have one of these species from a small size IMO you could about Guestimate their age in that the age in months is about the same as their length up to about 9" (after that their growth slows down to throw off that equation).... So based on that I am making an educated guess when I say I believe he is 9 to 10 months old... My daughter got him from Ken Davis at he ACA in late July at 2.5 to 3 inches size .... And he has grown approximately 6" in the 6 months that we've had him..... Here he is in early August about 6 months ago......

Nice I greatly admire that fish and I am a fan of all midas complex species...I also have a pair of Xiloansis from the ACA via Ken Davis
Thanks Kevin!..that male my daughter picked up at the ACA from Ken Davis ... I had asked her to bring me Chanchos ,which she did not do but I'm not mad lol..... I do have some F2 Citrinellus that I got from you last year... here are a couple of the females that I'm thinking I'm going to breed with that male ......
