Picked up a pair of Amphilophus Citrinellus around 8 days ago. The male pictured is around 6.5inches and the female (who never wants to sit still for a photo is around 5 - 5.5inches)
The male is a real stunner. He currently has some black coming through on his head, above his lip and fins which I hope he retains (I am aware majority of the time it will disappear)
Excuse the quality of the second photo was just trying to show the black in his fins.
In the future I may remove the Neetroplus Nematopus due to the fact they like to nip fins and when I picked him up the male Citrinellus had much larger dorsal extensions

That's a nice looking one right there! Looking forward to seeing how he develops.

Dorsal does have a look of being nipped... But you are not kidding he is a Stunner 😎
I agree. It’s driving me crazy seeing photos from when I first got him and his dorsal has much longer extensions. I believe I will end up removing the N. Nematopus soon in the future so it can grow back

Thank you. I appreciate that! You and me both are looking forward to see how he develops. I will keep this thread updated as he grows
