Amphilophus flaveolus

Looking great my friend, congratulations on the spawning :)

What size tank are they in? are there any tank mates? How do you find the males aggression??

Very nice looking Amphs, if I ran into them in an ally I'd swear they were Amarillo.
 
I have 2 females and a male in a 125 with a few cutteri. The male doesn't have aggression... The male hasn't a care in the entire world. The females are the tough ones for me. They duked it out for his love, but he doesn't seem to care she won. He sticks around her and the fry I kept in the tank, but that's about it. He'd much rather snack on some pellets... or anything I throw in the tank. His interests are elsewhere. He never had a breeding dress. He remains the deep gray, cool and comfortable. The other female has become submissive, but still flirts with him as he passes by. She constantly has her tube extended, ready for him, but he must have better things on his mind, lol... I just can't figure out what.

How does this compare to your experience? I'd love to know.
 
If I ran into them in an alley, I hope I was holding my breath. Quite similar to some of the other species. This is my first Amphilophus, but I'm confident it is the best and far superior than any other in all ways possible. :)
