what kind of cichlid from the amphilophus genus could fit comfortably in a 75 by itself or with a mate? and my brother would like to know if a female trimac could fit in 55 gallon. any opinions are appreciated.:D

:iagree: 55g is too small for a trimac. I think 75g should be sufficient for any single Amphilophus. At least I can't think of one that would get too big for a 75g off the top of my head.

I'm gonna say no on the breeding pair. Males get way too aggressive during a spawn. The female would most likely get killed in the 75g, not enough room for her to "run and hide"

pretty much any species of amphiliophus could fit in a 75 by its self... I would presonally choose a citrinellus or labitus, or zaliosum or lysoni..

could i keep a female festae with a tank mate in a 75? i really like these fish, but i would like to have more than one fish in a 75 if possible.

Not a very good idea dude. Very aggressive fish.
