amphilophus for 75?

could i keep a female festae with a tank mate in a 75? i really like these fish, but i would like to have more than one fish in a 75 if possible.

no only if you have smaller SA/CA or africans

I found one that might work! Amphilophus Alfari, the pastel cichlid, reaches a max length of 8" with an aggressive temperament.

ok, nevermind the trimac. what about the other question? are there any amphilophus that could fit in a 75 by itself or with a mate?

I have had multiple spawnings in my 75 with my flowerhorns. The key is to have an area where the female can retreat when the male gets aggressive. I have had this pair together in the 75 for 3 years and have only had to separate once and that was before I put in her hollow log. He is very aggressive by the way, trys to bite me every time I try to clean the tank.

go with a Amphilophus Robersoni (sp?) I think that's how you spell it, they stay pretty small and colorful compared to the ones from the Midas complex.

That might work too. I think they had a max size of 10" and a beautiful blue coloring to them.

You were very close on the spelling, it's Robertsoni.
