Haha thats cool yeah get a vid. Hows the feeding going ? It ised to drive me nuts. I had an oscar that would beat keep them herded into a corner bit as soon as food touch the water these things became fearless farbage desposals
Awesome fish. One of my top 5 favorites! unfortunately mine jumped out of the tank where the filter opening was. here is the last pictures I had at 5" about 4 months after I got him.
Thanks! Loving these guys more every day. Got home and they all swam to me for food, and nibbled my fingers even at this tiny size. Growing them out should be very rewarding! Giving pictures a break till they grow a bit, but y'all will be the first to hear about them with updates.
I never heard that they could not be found in the wild anymore. But good luck with them and 2 thumbs up with your intentions on giving back. That what it is really all about.
Time to call it. RIP missing 8th fish. It's been 3 days since I've seen you at feeding time and I now fear the worst. Though your body is gone, you memory will live on.
I've repeatedly counting 7 fish so weather he was picked off by his siblings or something else I don't know. Everyone else seems to be growing well, I'll get picks up when I have time to it down and photograph for a few hours for best pics.
Update! Everyone is doing great and I'm planning on doing some aquascape editing. Considering removing the Fluval U2 (pain to take out and do maintenance on in its current position) but keep the slate platform going. Thinking about using wood blocks (for the royal pleco to chew on p.s. think it's a L191?) to support the platform and extend it another tile to the right and then do another 1 on top of the original, of that makes any sense. Anyways, thoughts on that?
Enough of the tank stuff, let's get to the fish! Little buggers are still small(ish) and fast so it's a pain to get a good pic! One owns 1/2 the tank (he has no friends except for the SD) and everyone else hangs out on the other 1/2 most of the time, though everyone comes together to beg and give me "finger kisses" for food. 2 of them are clearly bigger and have a very defined horizontal black strip going. Next 2 biggest don't have the horizontal strip but have dark vertical bars and good red coloration in the fins. Last 3 have no particularly noticeable features and are smaller than the rest.
Anyways, I've probably rambled enough. I'll try and get some good pics once I re-aquascape some.
