Please to meet you Amphilophus police. Why can't we all just enjoy each others pictures without someone trying to be the smart guy. Look at all the Festae names. Amphilophus Festae, Cichlasoma Festae, Herichthys Festae, Heros Festae, Nandopsis Festae and your favorite, Drum roll please? EX-Cichlasoma Festae!!!!!:headbang2Until the Scientist get bored and change it again. When it come to this particular fish, I know everything I need to know about it. The many name changes means nothing to me. Now enjoy every other festae picture I will post in the future. By the way you have a beautiful male festae. If you want a beautiful female with strong bars, I might be the guy that can help you. Then again maybe not because I have Amphilophus Festae and you may want Ex-Cichlasoma Festae.:grinno:

The OP wanted Amphilophus. Festae changed classifications a while ago, just try to keep the thread on track. If everyone starts posting pictures, than the purpose of the OP is completely shot. Also, you shouldnt get all bent out of shape, and then flex your knowledge over something so trivial. A simple ya I know, they use to be classified as Amphilophus, I just wanted to slip it in. Would have worked quite well. Instead your incoherent babble made you sound ridiculous. :grinno:

I may be interested in a darker and stronger barred female, :) and thank you for your comment on my male. :)

I think this should be a sticky!

I am sorry officer Madness aka (Amphilophus police). I am sorry for not responding to you the way you thought I should respond. Please!!!!!! Move on to something else. The thread would have moved on nicely without your comment whether my festae picture is Amphilohus or not. If anyone on this thread was unsure about classification of festae. All they had to do was google it. Then they would have learned something about all the different name changes. You said what you said. I said what I said. I am not bent out of shape. Neither am I upset. Maybe the other posters learned something from this. Your welcome on your male festae comment.;) Now if it is ok with you, I am going to go and do some more incoherent babbling and making myself sound ridiculous.:grinno: Good Day! Keep it Moving!:)

I believe they were about a year old at the time of these photos.

Here is a young lfs bought "Red Devil" I just got, so we'll call it an Amphilophus lbiatum, and it is about 2 inches. The little som***** moves around a lot, hard to get a good picture. This one has more white in it than any of the other ones they had.
