They arent anymore, they are Astetheros. Last time I corrected someone on this thread regarding the classification of the fish they displayed, I was chastised, so I stopped correcting. This is an Amphilophus thread and not a Cichlosoma or Astatheros & Amphilophus thread. I guess some people just have thin skin.
Gorgeous amphs madness! you have such a great collection. How big are the Lyonsi that you are keeping and how do you find the aggression? I hear they are pretty mellow and all of mine are except for the biggest that im growing out (guessing alpha male) that just seems like he wants to murder everything haha.

The male is 5" and the 2 females are 4 to 4.5". They are actually more aggressive than I expected.

If we don't help each other out by keeping one another up to date on classification we are being counter productive to our own hobby.. Keep it coming.
