i have a hermit crab in there and he's not bothered! lol i need to clean some media in the tank now i might just pick him up and put him ontop of it. lol

Clowns would eat them no prob. If you planning on getting a clown thean that may be a good idea. Have you purchased fish for the tank yet?? I think its been long enough?

i'm having a problem of where to place my power head? do i place it opposie to the filter intake? or close to the sand behind the rock or near to the top?

pretty much wherever, i would do it opposite of the filter though, if need be get a little one for behind the rocks
