An easier tank

If you get a fire eel, make sure ALL coverings, no matter how small are covered... These guys are some seriously crazy escape artists...

Maybe I'm lucky, I have never had one of these escape-prone fish leave the tank...

In any case, better safe than sorry. And have a good source for earthworms. Fire eels are stubborn picky jerks.
 
I think everybody should start out with a big tank like this. I truly believe it's easier to keep a big tank than a small one. Big tanks are more money, especially up front, and it's a LOT more work to plumb and plan a sump than to just buy a canister....but once it's all done, I gotta say I think a big tank is less work, certanily no more work, than say a 75 or 125.
 
I might be getting it soon trying to decide where it woul be best im tinking my room but if i move into my garage then it will be a major pain to move into the garage.
 
ya Ill probably get a wheeled stand to but to my garage there is a step so I might need to find a solution to that like a ramp.
