Looks like a gafftopsail. We catch them off the coast of South Carolina.

It's something from the family Ariidae. Im 100% sure of that. Which species is hard to say, not really a family im good with.

Do you know where it was collected? Did you buy it? Catch it?

I bought it from an lfs, they do not know where it is from.
The fish is about 4 inches and very active even in the day. It's current diet is bloodworm, minced market prawn, and torsat (small catfishes).

Looks like a gafftopsail. We catch them off the coast of South Carolina.

It's definitely in the ariidae family and based on the pictures I can find online, Bagre marinus , or gaff topsail catfish does look like a definite possibility.
