Around a month ago I swapped my Hystrix group for some BD pups.
The BD's parents were F1, I'm told, both parents had broken spots, eclipse/polo spots.
All the pups are growing at similar rate, a comfortable 4" disc I'd say now.
What's interesting to me is that two of the pups are developing spotting that is clearly eclipsing now and some spots breaking up, both these are female. They are also very black.
The male is still a very light grey base colour and his spots are larger and all are solid. He's the best looking of the trio IMO.
Just wondering on what you all think to the theory that perhaps the male staying light base/grey is maintaining the more desirable solid and larger spotting than his sisters. Is there anything in it? I know that the pups will change dramatically between now and maturity.
