An observation...

Great looking pups Mike. Not sure on the theory though. I have had pups stay grey for some time but all go black eventually and normally by the time they are just a few months old. Sometimes the light colour sand can make the base colour of the pup stay light a little longer.
Cheers Jim.
Appreciate the input mate.

I'm sure he'll be as black as the ace of spades in good time :)

I have a similar thing going on with my pups. I have 2 males / 4 females and my bigger male is still grey but has more solid spotting, whilst all the all the others (some smaller and 1 bigger) are all black and the 2 smallest ones have definite signs of eclipsing. They all seem active and eat well so i just put it down to maturing at different rates. Yours look lovely anyway, my preference would be to the grey one. Guess it's just a matter of taste.

Thanks for the input Small Dave, interesting you're seeing the same sort of thing going on. Agree, it's more than likely just down to rate of development in individual pups but still interesting.

Cheers mate
