i quess it depends on how big {old} the veija and how many of them.. and whether the water conditions meets both of their needs..and the dispostion of all.. if they are babies i would try it..

VIEJA are 6-10" i have a shoal of colombian red fin tetras in the tank since cycling and have never been bothered by the vieja. and last week added 2 2" jd i rescued and again no problems.but then again maybe i will have enough when the 6 silver dollars come from the grow out tank to join my 2 4 yrs olds.

well its my first big one, and am happy with the way its looking so far,love the fish so all's good. just stuck on lighting at the minute have 144 led which give a nice effect but need a brighter source for showing the colours up. any advice once again red devil or anyone? tank 60x34x24

Ask this advice in set up forum.... they have been there and done it..so many will know what you need... and love to help...
