I just did a water change and my well water isn't so stable now with the snowmelt, my params were off, I could tell, g was mouth breathing, bubble blowing, tail down. I changed again used cycle and an extra airsstone and a bit more heat and salt and the params are perfect now, the water is beautiful and G is back to his pet me antics. I also another time noticed the current had changed due to a hose floating and moving and he was gill curling, I stopped that right away and his fins unfolded like a birds wings. I think he wanted to test your theories......nothing major, I just was down from my heart surg and missed a couple days of water changes. That was my fault but fixed easy enough. I'm gonna stop using well water for a while too.

its a shock what happened to G. what you planning to do now?

Of course, after settleing down for a few days, I want a young aro, but I might wait for a black , it's hard to beat to equal what I had, he was beautiful and great fun, he was so interactive. I just didn't want to lose another, so when the tank is fitted with completely new better tops, then........ I'm still working on the vid clip, thanks for youtube.

saw the clip. nice background music....LOL. well the sooner you get a new one, the easier it'll be to cheer up. and you dont need to equal ol' G, and you'll never beat the experience with him, just remember all those discussed at the previous thread regarding arowana's luck myths...even if they might not be true....one thing is for sure, G has now made you a better MONSTERFISHKEEPER! dont let him go away in vain, keep on MFKing. good luck
