So I bought 1 bunch of anacharis about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I seperated the bunch and planted each strand about 1/2 inch from each other. I then rearranged my tank and was having a problem with keeping the plant anchored. I got frustrated so I just loosely banded about 5 strands together and planted them as a bunch. I also had 3 strands planted seperately in another part of the tank. As of a few days ago (a week after I rearranged the tank), many of the leaves of the anacharis have been turning transparent and losing their green color. Some spots and stalks are even yellow and brown.

All of my water conditions seem to be optimum. The water temp is at about 78 degrees. I have an 8 gallon tank with a 14 watt bulb. Usually have the light on for at least 12 hours a day at a minumum. The tank is about 10 inches tall and 16 inches wide. I do about 15% water changes every week, and the tank is clean. I also add a small amount of salt to the water (just a few teaspoons) when I add new water, along with water conditioner.

I purchased Seachem's Flourish plant supplement today in hopes of curing the problem. I don't know what else to do! I thought anacharis were pretty hardy!?

Also, I just added a rosaefolia plant a few days ago. Will these conditions be ok for this plant as well? Enough light? Temp? Ect??

I would appreciate your help!! Thank you!

anacharis are sensitive to excel. im not sure if your using that but it is said to kill it so i would watch that. also most planted tank lights are left on 8 to 10 and no more then 12, plants stop using light after this long... (just learned this tanks wyldfya) im not sure how long you have had the plants but it could just now be getting used to the new setup (that is if it is new)

a side note salt doesnt ever leave your tank only gets removed in water changes so only add enough salt for what water you remove because if you always add to much salt it can slowly build up (not sure if this has any effect on the plants or anything but just a note.
