is there any freshwater aquatic turtles that dont need basking

Fly river turtles.

All turtles need UVB.

FRT's are 100% illegal to buy or sell, but once you OWN it it's legal. Prepare to pay a pretty penny, though. I think the cheapest they go for if you don't have a good hook up is $600.

I've heard of a lot of people having success with razorback musks not having a basking area too.

Either way you need a minimum of a flourescent strip light with a UVB 10.0 bulb in it.

Cool, what kind of turtles?

Mud and musks mostly. Loggerhead musk are on the must-have list for my husband and I want a pair of red-cheeked muds. Anything else would be awesome too though.
I'm also planning on picking up a female anery kenyan sand boa.
*maybe* another ball python but I'm pretty broke as it is these days.

You should have your husband pick up that 200 dollar FRT on kingsnake, if he can find it. :nilly::screwy::grinno:

Talk to Cobra Blitz/Joel - he's the man for finding all turtles locally. Has gotten me countless bids on rare stuff that is unbelievably priced. :)

I'm selling two female kenyan sand boa's, just standard morphs. With two separate cages for $50 by the way. :P

Lucky for you I will have red cheeks at the show or if you want sooner, I'm about to post an ad in a little bit.

I don't have loggerheads, but I got something harder to find. Stripeneck musks! Which looks almost like a loggerhead, but with a cool pattern on the neck and head.
