Anchor worms ughh!

No problem. I really enjoy how willing everyone here is to pitch in and offer help, share experience, and provide encouragement :).

It's like belonging to an awesome aquarium society, where everyone is interested in the fish you like, and meets all day, everyday.

So awesome.

So today I noticed an imperfected scale on my ft. I took a closer look and there was what looked to be an anchor worm in there. After reading this thread I realized I needed to pull it off fast before it has a chance to spread.

Unlike Franks wife mine ran and grabbed the tweezers. I think because she didn’t want me to spend money on a new pair. Lol.

I caught the flagtail and tried to keep it in the water as best as possible because he’s so big I didn’t want it to pull it out and risk hurting it any more. But every time I would try to grab the worm, he would turn around on me. He did this about 6-7 times before I was able to wrangle it around well enough.

By the time I went to pull it out, it was already gone. Now I am concerned it is either somewhere in my tank or else in the net. Shoot. I should have just pulled the fish out onto a towel like Frank.
