You also have the African Butterfly Fish. They only grow to 4" I believe.

FYI Brown Ghosts (and all other South American knifefish) aren't ancient fish. I like the African Brown Knife (Xenomystus nigri) for "community" tanks.

It all depends on the size of your other fish. As long as they are too big to be eaten, you likely won't have a problem unless the ancient fish is aggressive.
